Scott received a  Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in 1989 and a Juris Doctor degree from Willamette University in 1993. He was admitted to the Oregon Bar in 1993 and the Idaho Bar in 1997.. Scott believes that an injury attorney who never or rarely fights for his client in court, even if the case has challenges, is not being a proper advocate. Scott takes on challenging cases but has still been prevailing at a rate of approximately 80% over his last twenty jury trials.  Scott believes that most injury cases can and should settle and because he has succeeded in court on prior cases, and properly prepares his cases, his current and future cases should recieve full and fair offers.. Scott did not plan on not being an injury lawyer but while in law school his wife and children were injured in an auto accident.  After getting the runaround by a major insurance company (his own company) he quickly learned that good honest people need help in dealing with insurance companies.  After one year of serving as a Judicial Law Clerk in Salem Oregon his career has and will remain committed to holding insurance companies to the promises they have made.. Scott and his wife Chris have two children. Both children recently graduated from college, so he is officially old.  He also enjoys almost any athletic event and still participates even though his body has been telling him it is time to quit.
