I am a founding and managing partner of Gourley Rehkemper, & Lindholm, PLC, also known as GRL Law.  I work with some of the best attorneys and legal professionals in the business and I am proud to say that our firm is one of the best Trial Law firms in Iowa.. Eric D. Tindal was born in Iowa City, Iowa and was raised in Kalona, Iowa.   While still in high school Eric joined the United States Army Reserves and he served until 1999.  While in the military Eric was trained as a Combat Medic and a Respiratory Specialist.  From the age of 19 until graduating from law school Eric worked in the intensive care units at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Eric also worked for several years at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa and Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.  This experience proved to be invaluable in working with injured clients and with expert witnesses.. Eric graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in May 2000 and started the practice of law in September of that year.  Eric was a founding member of the law firm Saylor and Tindal; and a founding member of the firm Nidey Erdahl Tindal & Fisher, PLC.  During that time Eric practiced in a broad spectrum of areas including but not limited to Criminal Defense in State and Federal Courts, Real Estate, Probate, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, Tax and Appeals.  Eric has had the privilege of representing clients in dozens of jury trials in state and federal court.  This has included representation in various serious felony offenses including Murder in the First Degree.  The Iowa Bar Association requested that Eric teach new lawyers in Iowa about Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.  Eric is one of 15 attorneys approved as a Criminal Justice Act (CJA) attorney in the Southern District of Iowa, Davenport Division.  Eric has also argued before the Supreme Court of Iowa, the Iowa Court of Appeals, and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.. In 2017 Eric elected to focus his practice in the area of criminal defense, workers compensation, and personal injury.  The Law Office of J. I have devoted  my legal career to defending the rights of Iowan’s charged with drug and alcohol offenses with an emphasis on operating while intoxicated, boating while intoxicated, serious injury by vehicle, and vehicular homicide cases.  My interest in the criminal justice system began early in my career while attending Simpson College and majoring in Criminal Justice and graduating Cum Laude in 1999.  After attending Simpson, I received my law degree from Drake University in 2002.  While attending Drake, my passion for the criminal justice system was enhanced by completing an internship at the Warren County Attorney’s Office as well as through completion of the Advanced Criminal Defense Clinic.. In 2004 I became a member of the National College of Drunk Driving Defense and am currently one of only a few select attorneys in Iowa to be a member of this organization.  In April 2005, I completed the NHTSA/IACP Standardized Field Sobriety Practitioner Training Course through Walden, Platt and Associates where I became certified to administer and score the same field sobriety tests used by police officers when making an arrest of an intoxicated driver.. I continue to hone my skills in defending the rights of Iowan’s by attending other national and local seminars related to criminal and drunk driving defense.  I have also spoken at numerous seminars on issues such as field sobriety testing, breath testing, case law updates, and appellate practice.  My practice also includes the litigation of appeals through the Iowa Court of Appeals and the Iowa Supreme Court.. I have also been an assistant wrestling coach at Valley Highschool since 2004 and currently am a volunteer assistance.  I enjoy working with the kids to help them not only become better athletes but better individuals.  I also enjoy being outdoors and taking my annual fishing trips to Minnesota.

Attorney Nate Boulton is a partner with Hedberg & Boulton, P.C. Nate practiced for two years as an associate attorney before being named a partner with the firm in 2007. He earned his law degree with Honors, as well as a Certificate of Legislative Practice, from Drake Law School in May of 2005 and was admitted to the Iowa bar that year. He also has a Master of Public Administration degree from Drake University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in history and political science from Simpson College. He is a 1998 graduate of Columbus Community High School in Columbus Junction, Iowa.. Nate Boulton practices in workers compensation, personal injury, and labor law.
