In 1997, he transitioned to American Family Mutual Insurance Company as a Claims Attorney, later becoming a Senior Staff Attorney. During his tenure, he managed complex litigation, advised claims adjusters, and supervised defense attorneys, gaining invaluable insight into how insurance companies assess and defend claims.. In 2018, Ken founded The Winjum Law Firm, P.L.C., after assuming the Iowa and Nebraska practice of Hausmann-McNally, S.C.
