Roger Nordeen served as an Assistant District Attorney for over 20 years in the Johnson County District Attorney's Office. He has prosecuted felony, misdemeanor, juvenile and traffic cases in the Johnson County District Court, representing the State of Kansas in numerous jury trials, bench trials and preliminary hearings. Mr. Nordeen was assigned a general criminal caseload in the trial division, and has served as the consumer fraud attorney, criminal child support prosecutor and warrant attorney for the Johnson County District Attorney's Office. He has successfully argued appellate cases before the Kansas Supreme Court and Kansas Court of Appeals. In addition to his duties in the courthouse, Mr. Nordeen was a criminal law instructor at the Johnson County Regional Police Academy. He has also served as a volunteer investigator for the Kansas Attorney Disciplinary Administrator’s Office, conducting investigations of ethical complaints against prosecutors.. In 2010, Roger Nordeen started a private law practice in Olathe, Kansas, representing clients in criminal, domestic violence, juvenile and traffic cases. He expanded his practice to family law and has handled divorce, adoption, child support modification and contempt cases. He is currently a volunteer with the Kansas Lawyers Assistance Program, helping monitor attorneys overcoming substance abuse and mental health issues. When not involved in his legal practice, Mr. Nordeen enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and West Highland terrier. He also performs with a local blues band, playing guitar and harmonica.
