Mr. Pope was born November 27, 1956. He has been married since 1991 to Shawna Pope. He has three children, RJ Pope, Harley Pope and Jett Pope. Mr. Pope has been on the Board of Directors for the American Association for Justice in the past serving for six years, and has been on numerous committees through political action committees, people's law school committees, and public relation committees.. In the Kansas Association of Justice, Mr. Pope has been on the Board of Directors for the past 23 years, has served as vice president, president, vice president of education, treasurer, membership chairman, and has been on the Civil Pac Committee for 12 years.. Mr. Pope has also served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Foundation for Justice, and has spearheaded the building committee and was on the board of directors for the building committee and one of the founders of the same.. Mr. Pope has served two terms as president for the American Board of Trial Advocates, Kansas Chapter, and is currently president of the Kansas Chapter of ABOTA.. Mr. Pope is also a member of the American Trial Lawyer's Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, Million Dollar Advocates Association for attorneys who have million dollar awards at jury trial, and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Association for attorneys who have had multi-million dollar awards at jury trials. He is also a member of the Kansas Bar Association and American Bar Association, both of which he has been a frequent speaker.
