When someone asks if I am a lawyer, to this day I still pause. My standard response is "No. I am just the guy next door who happens to know all the rules." This is a more accuratedescription of how I view myself in relation to my clients. My clients are friends...they are family...they become personally important to me.. My road to becoming a lawyer was somewhat non-traditional. There was no silver spoon in my mouth the day I was born. I joined the military and worked myself through college and law school. I was fortunate to mentor under a fine southern lawyer enjoying the final days of career. I was schooled in the elegance of gentlemanly lawyering, while at the same time learning the art of " in the trenches" litigation.. As a result, I have attained a stellar trial record and will gladly share it if ever asked. I have recovered millions on behalf of my injured clients and yet no case was more important to me than the other. As a divorced father, I have embraced the responsibitlies the law has to families experiencing divorce. Likewise, I am very humbled by the numerous small businesses I represent and the owners who trust me with their livelihood.. As much as I love being your lawyer, I also enjoy all that life has to offer. If you find me out of the office, you should probabaly look for me underwater, as I am an avid scuba diver. Of course, my wife prefers long cool motorcycle rides to diving, but who says we cannot have both?. As Mark Twain once said, I have never met a stranger.....so feel free to call me, or email. I would love to meet you and those important to you and see what I may offer you.. Your friend, Russell

Growing up, Steven spent alot of time in courthouses and law offices. His father, Ralph Tureau, was a prominent attorney and First Assistant District Attorney. "I used think of my dad's office and the courtrooms as a second home. I just loved being in the courtrooms watching what was going on. I have always felt comfortable in courtrooms for some reason." After Ralph Tureau was elected as a District Judge, Steven continued to spend alot of time with his father at work. "I truly beleive that spending so much time at the courthouse with my father made me extremely comfortable in the courtroom. II get a funny feeling before walking into a courtroom. The best way I can describe it is extreme anger and disgust at the insurance companies, and at the same time, a burning passion to fight for what our clients deserve.". Steven graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While attending LSU, Steven worked as an assistant for Senator Lee “Jody” Amedee, where his duties included reviewing legislation and recommending changes if necessary. Upon graduation from LSU, Steven attended Southern University Law School, where he was elected as Class President.. While enrolled in law school, Steven worked for the Louisiana State Senate, and for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. As the law clerk for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Steven tackled legal arguments relating to Department issues such as searches conducted by field agents, seizure of evidence, traffic stops conducted by Wildlife Agents, and the limitations of Agents entering onto private property. Because Steven possessed the knowledge and understanding of issues faced by Wildlife Enforcement Agents in the field, Steven was asked by the Department’s senior attorney to be a co-instructor for the class of new Wildlife Enforcement Agents in training. "I have always been passionate about hunting and fishing." I grew up duck hunting and fishing with my Dad, and I havent lost the love for it.". During law school, Steven began working for the nationally known law firm of Gauthier and Amedee as a research assistant. This employment continued, and he began working full time for the firm after being sworn in as an attorney in 2008.. “They have taught me so much about the practice of law and being in touch with your clients… You have to see your client as a person, and not just another case… Only then can you truly fight for your client and get them justice.”. In 2011, Steven opened the Tureau Law Firm, where he continued to fight for clients under that same ideology of treating clients as people, and not just another case.. In 2015, Steven’s father, former District Court Judge Ralph Tureau, retired from his judgeship. He and Steven joined forces and formed the law firm of Tureau & Tureau. The driving force behind this father and son legal team is the desire to help people who have been hurt and to do anything and everything necessary to make sure each client is compensated for their injuries. "ENERGETICALLY AND AGGRESSIVELY FIGHTING FOR OUR CLIENTS TO GET THEM EVERY DOLLAR THEY DESERVE.". Ralph and Steven focus their time and energy on helping injured people fight the insurance companies. We go to war for clients who have been hurt in car wrecks, motorcycle crashes, and 18-wheeler wrecks. Hurt on the water, no problem, Ralph and Steven are right at home fighting for their clients who have been injured on oilrigs, barges, tugboats, crew boats, and large ships.. For many clients, growing medical bills is a major concern of being in volved in a car crash. Medical bills are not the only suffering clients go through. A car crash causes a pain and suffering to both mentally and physically to those involved. Lost wages, medical bills, and doctor’s appointments all take a toll on a family and can put you in a bind. Tureau & Tureau strives to go above and beyond for our clients because we understand those difficulties. Our clients and their families deserve nothing less than full compensation for the pain and suffering they have endured. HURT IN A CAR WRECK? DONT LET THE INSURANCE COMPANY PUT YOU IN A BIND, CALL 647-9999.. In many cases, family members of those involved in wrecks also suffer. Injuries from a wreck or crash can result in the death of a loved one. As a father and son law firm, we understand the importance of family and the tremendous physical, mental, and emotional pain and suffering caused by the death of a loved one. Steven and Ralph aggressively fight for wives who have lost a husband, husbands who may have lost a wife, and children who may have lost a mother or father.. “My father and I fight for justice. We battle the insurance companies to get justice for you, our friends and clients. This means making the insurance companies pay you every cent you are entitled to. Results vary depending on the individual case, but we have gone to battle for our clients and have reovered medical bills, past and future lost wages, physical pain and suffering, mental and emotional pain and suffering.. "Steven and Ralph are down to earth people, they are not like other attorneys." From the moment I walked in their office, I felt like my family was taking care of me. They are easy to talk to, and make you feel like you are their top priority. They really do give personal attention to everyone who walks into their office. Steven and Ralph will settle for nothing but the best for our clients. We strive for it, and you should expect nothing less from our team.” If you were injured in a wreck, dont let the insurance companies put you and your family in a bind, call Ralph and Steven at.
