Prior to joining the Law Offices of Thomas E. Kennedy, III in September of 2013, I worked as a litigation associate for a small, plaintiff’s firm in Clayton, Missouri where my practice centered on the litigation of labor and employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of employment contracts and non-compete agreements and state and federal wage and hour disputes.I have extensive experience representing individuals and employees in complex matters involving business and commercial litigation, multi-party litigation, and collective and class action litigation relating to unpaid wages and overtime under both the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state wage and hour laws. I have also represented individuals facing prosecution in Missouri administrative and licensing hearings before the Administrative Hearing Commission, the Missouri State Board of Nursing, the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts and the Missouri Division of Employment Security.Since becoming an associate with the Law Offices of Thomas E. Kennedy, III, my practice has expanded to include cases involving disability rights and discrimination, Medicaid and other health benefits, fair housing claims, special education, nonprofit incorporation, whistleblower claims, guardianships, adoptions and juvenile justice. I also remain dedicated to representing employees in labor and employment disputes such as discrimination, wrongful termination and wage and hour matters.

For more than a decade, Tom has been fighting for people in their discrimination, harassment and personal injury cases. The son of a former Federal judge, Tom began his career in law twenty years ago working as an investigator for one of the country’s best personal injury attorneys. In 2004, Tom began working for another of the country’s top plaintiffs’ attorneys working up cases, tracking down witnesses, and conducting investigations on clients’ employment discrimination and harassment cases.. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2008, Thomas Ralston was fortunate again to work side-by-side with another of the country’s best on discrimination and harassment cases. During that time, he tried multiple cases in front juries in both state and federal court. He argued before the Appellate Courts, and last year was named a 2015 Super Lawyer and voted best lawyer in Kansas City by the readers of the Pitch newspaper. Earlier this year, Thomas started his own firm, Ralston Law. His experience and commitment to clients is here to help you, a loved one, or family member.. Discrimination and harassment are personal offenses. They are actions designed to cause emotional, financial, and sometimes physical harm. Because of this, Ralston Law takes a personal approach to representing you and your case against any corporation, business, public entity or person who has discriminated against you for reasons of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or opportunity. If you're in a position where you're asking yourself if someone's actions in the workplace are appropriate or illegal, Thomas Ralston's knowledge and experience is here for you. We can help you answer those questions and guide you through any other necessary steps.
