He is one of only a handful of St. Charles Attorneys to have received the highest possible legal ability and ethics rating by a prestigious national attorney rating organization, in recognition of his legal knowledge and trial abilities. Richard Gartner is currently a principal in the Gartner Law Firm located in St. Peters . His primary area of concentration during his 28 years in practice has been general civil and criminal trial litigation. He is admitted to practice before all of the Circuit Courts of the State of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals of the Eastern District of Missouri, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. In 1994 he was selected for inclusion in "Who's Who of American Lawyers", and is a Life Member of the National Registry of Who's Who, published in the 2001 Edition. He has been an active parent in the Marching Band and Jazz Band Program at St. Charles West High School ; has assisted in fundraising programs and as a coach for soccer, basketball and baseball at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, and acts as a volunteer Lawyer for Webster University Film Students. He has served as President of the St. Charles County Pachyderm Club, and was honored for dedicated service and commitment to the club in 2006. He is a member of St. Cletus Parish, the Knights of Columbus. He and his wife of three decades, Chris (Starke) Gartner, who works as a physical therapist for United Services for the Handicapped, have resided in the City of St. Charles for three decades. Two of their sons are successful college graduates working in the film industry, and their third son is in college at Webster University . Richard A. Gartner is a trial lawyer by trade, and is able to competently advise clients on when and whether to settle or fight--whether to pursue negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation. We recognize the legitimate and growing concerns that our clients have about the rising cost of litigation and have made a commitment to planning and other proactive measures in order to resolve disputes efficiently, fairly, and economically. We like to be part of the solution, not the problem. We take pride in offering skilled legal counsel so that our clients feel secure and informed about their decisions. Richard A. Gartner takes an active and personal role in each and every case that comes through our door and we strive to make our clients feel involved in the decision making process. What sets us apart from other law firms is that we provide our clients with the best of both worlds: we combine the skill and experience of a large law firm, with personalized and responsive service.
