When I was younger I would tell my Mom and Dad, "I want to be President of the United States". They would always then ask "why?" and my answer was always the same -- "because I want to make a difference." As I grew older the how may have changed several times, but the why never did. I always knew I was going to make an impact for others, and their lives. I now know how I am going to be that difference for others. I advocate with strength and commitment in the law for my clients. That is what public service means to me. I am privileged to help guide my clients to an answer and sometimes be the answer for my client and their family. To me, the strength of public service is helping make the tough decisions that support individuals.. During my college years at Radford University, I saw a need among my fellow students. So I opened a business to help fill that need, and with that, I opened my first restaurant. I was successful at this business and felt accomplished that I created an option that became popular and helped other students. I continued down this path until I realized I had gotten away from what stirred me, my flame to help serve others. I told my wife I wanted to get back to that part of me and said I was going to the police academy. She supported my decision and I signed up for the police academy not knowing what kind of roller-coaster I was joining.. After nearly seven years of service and countless stories I could tell, just not in 500 words or less, I realized law enforcement was not where my journey was to end. During my first several years as a policeman, I participated in numerous community events. I helped with food drives, organized youth athletics, spoke at community meetings, and much more. During my last two years in law enforcement, I was a detective and I saw a deeper need and hurt within the community. This vision came about, in part, because I was now dealing directly with both victims and those charged with a crime. These interactions provided me with the knowledge that in troubled times individuals just needed assurance, guidance, and sometimes just a good listener. I saw the resolution that the court system offered and more than ever I wanted to be part of that resolution. I believe that I can offer something unique and inspiring to the field of law when given the opportunity. A new kind of lawyer for a changing world.. My varied background as business owner, law enforcement officer, and now versatile lawyer uniquely qualifies me to represent a broad range of clients. This diverse clientele includes persons arrested for serious crimes, those contemplating divorce, entrepreneurs forming corporations, and seriously injured victims of accidents caused by negligence.. My hobbies include spending time with my wife Sarah and two children, riding motorcycles, watching the Washington Capitals play hockey, working out, listening to books/podcasts, grilling and cooking outside, snowboarding, traveling, playing the drums, and attending Temple Baptist Church throughout the week.

Christopher J. Leddy, Jr. was born in the Catskill mountains of upstate New York. Chris moved to Stuart, Florida with his family at the age of 5. Growing up in the Sunshine State is what sparked his love and desire to practice in very focused areas of the law: Estate Planning & Elder Law. Prior to beginning his career, Chris worked diligently over a four year period to obtain the Gold Congressional Award Medal. During 2007, this honor was bestowed upon only 273 youth across the nation who completed over 400+ hours of community service, 200+ hours of physical fitness, 200+ hours of personal development, and a 4 night expedition. Chris learned valuable life lessons while completing these goals that he still uses to this day.. Chris attended the University of South Florida (USF) for his undergraduate studies. He received his Bachelor's Degree with a double-major in Political Science and History. This degree focus has fostered both a passion for civic engagement and a love for the United States military. Upon graduation from USF, Chris spent the beginning years of his professional career working for the Martin County Supervisor of Elections in Stuart, Florida. This experience fostered his love for elder law issues and it was after this experience that Chris decided to pursue a legal career.. During law school, Chris clerked for a private firm that focused on Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Elder Law issues such as Medicaid Pre-Planning, Medicaid Crisis Planning and Veterans Affairs Aid & Attendance. Chris was also a member of Moot Court Team during law school, where he competed in the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition. His passion for appellate advocacy and civil litigation stems from this experience. Upon graduation, Chris worked for a small Estate Planning firm in Fort Mill, SC while he studied for, sat for, and passed the South Carolina Bar Exam. The following July, Chris sat for, and passed, the North Carolina Bar Exam.. Chris takes pride is a "client-first" approach as well as his attention to detail. His main focus is to assist clients leverage their options to maximize their wealth, in order to preserve their heritage and legacy for future generations.
