I am a mother of 2 lovely girls and have been married to a wonderful husband for 6 years. Law is my second career. Before becoming a lawyer I was a school teacher for children with special needs and had worked with children for special needs for the last 15 years. I have a B.S. in Human Services, Master's in Special Education, and Juris Doctorate. I have devoted a large portion of my life to teaching and helping children and their families. I choose law to be able to assist families in other ways such as custody, divorce, education issues, estate planning, disability issues as well as several other areas of law. I have enjoyed my career change, because I have had the opportunity to advocate and assist many families in trouble times. I look forward to helping you in a situation. I firmly believe because I have a better understanding I can give better service. Please feel free to contact me. My office is located on South Blvd. in Charlotte, NC, but I do travel.

Firm: Willett Legal, PLLC
Practice Areas: Estate Planning
I started Willett Legal, PLLC in 2020 as the next step in my goal to reach as many of my fellow Americans about the importance of having a comprehensive estate plan. Estate Planning and Elder Law issues matter to everyone, not just the wealthy among us. To this end, I offer complimentary phone consultations to all potential clients. If I can't help you, I will try to find the person or organization that can.. I grew up in China Grove, NC and attended UNC Chapel-Hill as an undergraduate. I graduated early and lived in Befast, Northern Ireland working for the State Department. Afterwards, I headed down to Georgia to attend Mercer Law School where I was active in the Moot Court program and served as Chair of Community Service all three years.. After law school, I clerked for the Honorable Eugene M. Benton before joining private practice in Atlanta, GA. Slowly making my way home, I partnered with an estate planning and elder law firm to open an office in Greenville, SC. Needing to be even closer to home, I moved my practice to NC and opened Willett Legal, where I continue to serve clients throughout the North Charlotte/Piedmont region with their estate planning and elder law needs.

Firm: Garrity & Gossage
Practice Areas: Estate Planning
Kim Gossage was raised in Sterling, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C., which means she is a die-hard Redskins fan. When her mother died unexpectedly at 46, Kim served as executor of her estate and as guardian for two elderly family members. As a result, she gained firsthand knowledge of how daunting the legal system can be for folks who are grieving and she learned the importance of planning at any age.. Kim moved to Charlotte as part of a church planting team in 1991 and graduated magna cum laude from UNC-Charlotte in 1995 with Bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. During law school at Wake Forest, Kim was active on the Moot Court Board, where she earned various honors for appellate advocacy and represented her law school in national competitions, and she also participated in the Legal Clinic for the Elderly. In 1998, she graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law and began practicing in Charlotte with an insurance defense firm.. While working in insurance defense, Kim tried hundreds of jury trials across North Carolina. Despite the fun (and stress) of trying cases, Kim wanted to return to working with seniors as she had done in law school. As a result, she and Jennefer Garrity joined in 2006 to form Garrity & Gossage, LLP. The firm has grown but remains committed to providing high-quality legal services with compassion and approachability.
