I've defended federal criminal cases for 36 years; for 18 of these years, I've been in private practice while the other 18 years were during my tenure with the Federal Public Defender's Office. My scholarship in federal sentencing resulted in my appointment to the United States Sentencing Commission's Practitioners Advisory Group in 2017.. I'm an inveterate insomniac who's up at 5:00 am to clear my head for the upcoming day. The only hobby I have is reading non-fiction books. I have a wonderful family that stands behind me in everything I do. Lastly, I have two goofy dogs that constantly remind me of how complicated we humans make life.
