James Twine was born at Fort Hood, Texas. Lived in New Jersey as a kid, and moved to Cedar Park, Texas with his family in 1993. He is a graduate of Leander High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University, a Masters in Public Administration from Texas State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern Thurgood Marshall School of Law.. Before becoming an attorney, he worked as a proofreader at the Texas State Senate Engrossing and Enrolling Office during a legislative session, as an underwriter for an insurance company, and a writer for a local business paper. He later worked as a clerk in the Williamson County District Clerk’s Office. He eventually moved to a position as an office specialist for Williamson County Court at Law #2.
