I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BS in Biology/Science Education. While I attended Iowa I served as a research and teaching assistant for the Education and Biology Departments. After graduation I attended Memphis State University of Law. I was a member of our National Mock Trail team, graduation speaker and President of my graduating class. Since graduation I have practiced only as a criminal defense attoreny looking out for the rights of the individual accused. I never was a former prosecutor who backed the lying police and bias system one day and then claimed that I was looking out for the best interests of a person accused when I became a defense attorney the next day. I was Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization the first year I was eligble for such honor (1997) and followed it up by receiving my Board Certification in Juvenile Law in 2006. I am the only attorney officed in Tarrant County who is certifed in these two areas of law and 1 of only12 attroneys, 90,000 total, Certified in Criminal and Juvenile Law in the State of Texas.
