I attended the University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a B.A. in Economics. Following my undergraduate studies, I attended and graduated from the University of Houston Law Center. I am currently a Shareholder at Daly & Black, P.C. In my career, I have represented individuals, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. I currently represent clients in a broad array of civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts. My experience includes handling--from both the plaintiff and the defense side--catastrophic injury and death cases, transportation cases, maritime and Jones Act matters, FELA cases, and commercial litigation disputes.. My experience on both sides of the docket allows me to craft tailored strategies to address and move out ahead on arguments in cases. I understand the importance of thorough preparation and deep familiarity with every issue and aspect of a case. I treat every file with the proper attention it deserves.. In my career thus far, I have served on the trial team for the prevailing side in four verdicts named in Texas Lawyer’s Verdicts Hall of Fame. Verdict Search and the National Law Journal recognized a landmark $159 million verdict awarded in a workplace injury case that I second-chaired as the fourth-highest verdict in the entire United States for 2015. Other notable outcomes include a commercial litigation case ending in a $54 million verdict; a maritime case with a $41 million verdict; a commercial litigation case with a $29.8 million verdict; and a wrongful death case with a $29 million verdict.. In addition to my trial practice, I have handled over a dozen appeals. I have briefed, handled oral argument, and obtained a ruling in my clients’ favor at the Supreme Court of Texas. I am licensed to practice in Texas. I have also practiced as pro hac admitted counsel in California, Louisiana, Kansas, Virginia, and other states.. When I am not serving my clients, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, watching sports, collecting art, volunteering for various causes, cooking, and attending performing arts events.

He willingly made this sacrifice for a singular purpose. He wanted to be better able to help his clients and serve his community.. Alexander Begum’s career in law was born of a true desire to help others. This desire has not abated. The art of giving is something Alex practices so routinely that it has become an integral part of his professional and personal life. Mr. Begum gives freely of his time and expertise to offer pro bono legal services to those that need them. His special interest in pro bono cases has been put to excellent use. For his entire legal career, Adam Herron has practiced fiduciary litigation, representing clients in disputes involving trusts, estates, guardianships, and business entities. But not all disputes involve fiduciary duties—Adam also represents parties in will contests, contested heirships, common-law-spouse claims, disagreements over the meaning of provisions in wills and trusts, and other non-fiduciary disputes relating to trusts, estates, guardianships, businesses, and the probate process. Nor is there always a dispute—Adam often guides clients through uncontested will probates and heirships, the guardianship process, and trust and estate administration. After being an associate attorney and eventual partner/shareholder at an Austin-based firm, Adam served as an of-counsel attorney for Ruffner Schoenbaum Murphy Banaszak PLLC in 2022. In 2024, Adam and Eleanor Ruffner teamed up to form Ruffner Herron PLLC.. When he’s not in court or at his desk, Adam is actively involved in the legal community—judging mock-trial competitions, serving as a board member of both the Civil Litigation Section and the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Austin Bar, presenting at—and attending—continuing-legal-education courses, and participating in state- and local-bar events.. While he was born and raised in Minnesota, Adam has called Texas home since 2011—when he moved to Waco to attend Baylor University School of Law.
