John Cook begins each day with this fundamental thought – what can I do today to make a difference. He learned long ago that the true reward of a service profession is the difference you make in the lives of others. Ms. Waugh graduated with a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in Houston, Texas in 2000. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. She also holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas-Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Ms. Waugh originally focused her legal practice on Health Care Law and Policy issues. She worked for the law firm of Vinson & Elkins in Washington, D.C. before moving with her family to Lynchburg, VA in 2004 where she opened a private practice focused on family law issues with an emphasis on the legal needs of women and children.
