I started as a laborer and eventually became a project manager on complex multi-million-dollar public works projects. Dealing with all of the complexities of modern public works projects is what inspired me to go to law school.. While in law school I excelled in commercial law and finished as the number one student in my contracts and transactional drafting classes. I finished third overall in my class in law school, and afterward I worked at the Washington Supreme Court where I drafted numerous precedential opinions as a judicial law clerk..
