Lately I have rediscovered an interest in fitness and have enjoyed some of the wonders of Washington State backpacking and climbing several of our local volcanoes. (picture of me on Mt. Baker). In the fall of 2010 headed to Africa, the land where my mother was raised to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro (at 19,340', the highest peak on the continent). Lately I've been tackling longer trail events, marathon or longer races on trails in Washington, Oregon, and as far away as Switzerland. I try to focus on living each day to the fullest.
