I was born and raised in New York City.   As the son of two immigrant parents I witnessed first-hand the struggles of acculturation and limited economic opportunities.  Upon graduating law school, I returned to New York and worked for a small boutique firm that specialized in employment based visas.  Later, I represented many Chinese asylum seekers before the Immigration Court in New York, not more than five blocks from where I was raised.  Talk about full-circle..
