Bryan began his career more than a decade ago as a clerk at the Washington State Supreme Court, after graduating at the top of his class from Seattle University School of Law. Five years before joining Metier Law Firm he founded Doran Law, a single lawyer firm devoted to catastrophic injury victims. “I have talked to lawyers at firms who handle dozens of cases at a time – some run more than a hundred. I chose a different model. I kept the caseload small, and limited my practice to victims with life-changing injuries who deserved substantial financial assistance to deal with their loss. I wanted to run every case with a full court press, and I wanted to know my clients personally.” It was a model forged by his early career. The first several years of Bryan’s career, Bryan’s practice included corporate litigation. He founded his firm to bring the intensity of “high stakes” corporate litigation to injury cases.

I was born and raised in Seattle but spent over a decade living back East, in Washington D.C., Boston, Providence, and southern Massachusets. I feel like I have various homes, and gives me good perspective. Every case and client truly is different. to use the cliche.. I've been fortunate to have been able to practice laws from a wide variety as a angles. First, as a criminal prosecutor, then in civil insurance defense, and now as a criminal defense lawyer, personal injury lawyer, and pro tem judge.. I have a lot of trial experience. I've tried over 200 cases, including over 150 jury trials. In the criminal justice and personal injury field, you have to be a good trial lawyer to be a really good lawyer. To get the best result, you have to be willing to try every case. In that sense, trials are the great equalizer in our system--it's where the lawyers truly stand out.. I love playing tennis and running, but probably my favorite activity is reading. I've been reading military and political history for years. Now I love pretty much anything non-fiction, especially history, law, and politics.

The modern trend of the legal profession is to avoid using language that few every-day individuals understand. For example, a legal practice area could be defined as “Torts.” However, few people including myself before graduating from law school are familiar with the scope and definition of “Torts.” The approach Kobes Legal PLLC takes is to educate clients as well as protect their interests throughout the legal process and speak in a language most people understand. It is our job to make sure you understand what is happening every step of the way.. Customer service is often lost in the legal profession too. For example, remembering a client’s name, remembering facts they shared with you having nothing to do with the legal case, asking them about their day, or remembering their birthday are often overlooked. None of these examples generate income for the firm, but a client will remember the excellent customer service. This firm invests extra time and effort to make each client feel appreciated to include prompt return calls or responses, attention to detail, and a team-focus as litigation progresses. Litigation is complex involving many curve balls. Our firm manages expectations, maintains tactical patience, and communicates with our team-members including the client.. We create a customer experience that bolsters client confidence. Kobes Legal PLLC is a client-centered culture striving to make a positive impact.
