John Hardie was born in Montana but grew up just south of Seattle. From an early age he was taught the value of hard work, dedication, and compassion from his parents and public-school teachers. Before law school, John worked for a labor union. Labor negotiations, and the dispute resolution processes involved in organized labor turned the advocacy switch on inside of him.
