This is a huge gamble to take when you are considering the effects of a criminal charge on your freedom, family, and career.. Mike Price was born in North Carolina in 1970. He moved to Sherman, Texas, in 1973 and graduated from Sherman High School in 1988. Mike completed his undergraduate studies at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and graduated cum laude in 1992. Austin College is a small, private Presbyterian school known for its academic excellence. While attending A.C., Mike was a 3-year varsity team letterman on the Austin College Football Team. He was selected as a Texas Interscholastic Athletic Association Academic All-Conference member in 1989, 1990, and 1991. In 1990, Mike and the 'Kangaroos' advanced to the NAIA Division II National Playoffs. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1995 from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas. While at SMU, he was a student attorney in the SMU Law School Criminal Justice Clinic. After representing many clients throughout the criminal process, including jury trials, Mike was chosen to be the Supervising Student Attorney for the next class of students in this program. He was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1995.. After graduating from law school, Mike began working for the legendary criminal defense attorney George R. Milner. Mike became a partner in his firm in 1998. In 2001, Mike became Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. While most attorneys have to practice 10, 15 or 20 years to reach the experience level necessary to achieve Board Certification, Mike met the rigorous requirements and passed the exam after being licensed for only 6 years. In 2002, Mike became the Managing Partner and a founding member of Milner & Finn, a law firm dedicated to the exclusive defense of criminal cases in both state and federal court. In 2006, Mike became Board Certified in Criminal Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is now one of only a handful of attorneys who is certified in Criminal Law at both the state and national level, and the ONLY one in Collin County with both of these certifications.   In addition, Mike has been named a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly Magazine every year since 2005, and he has been named a D Magazine 'Best Lawyer of Dallas', Best Attorney in Frisco by Frisco Style Magazine, and 'Readers Choice' for Best Criminal Lawyer by the Dallas Observer.   He is also "AV" Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for both ethics and legal ability.

I was born in McAllen, TX.  During middle school, my parents decided to move to Plano, TX, for new and exciting work opportunities.  After attending multiple years of high school at Plano West Senior High, I dropped out and received my G.E.D. Though the odds of returning to school and completing my higher education were against me, I did return. I began taking courses in Community College and after taking a criminal justice class, I knew my true calling was law.  Immediately thereafter, I transferred to Texas Tech University and began my quest to become an attorney by majoring in Psychology and Political Science. One month after graduating from Texas Tech, I moved to Michigan to attend law school.  Throughout law school, I assisted a small law firm with employment and criminal litigation.  Although the law firm was small, the attorneys showed me that David could actually beat Goliath.   I assisted in a wide array of cases, everything from representing class action Fair Labor Standards Act claims to general illegal criminal searches.    After law school, I returned to Texas and began assisting the Dallas City Attorney’s office in employment matters.  My job responsibilities included investigating EEOC complaints filed by employees, investigating City of Dallas employee misconduct, and assisting in the termination procedures.  I then began assisting in the misdemeanor division of the Dallas County Public Defender’s office where I handled many types of misdemeanors charges for indigent clients.
