Michael Tortora is the managing member of The Tortora Law Firm, LLC where he concentrates in Personal Injury litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants.  Early in his career, Attorney Tortora obtained trial experience while handling defense cases for Allstate Insurance Company. He then opened his own practice in Fairfield, Connecticut, the Law Offices of Michael J. Tortora, LLC where his practice focused in all areas of personal injury, including plaintiff and defense work, as well as criminal defense. During this time, he also served as a Special Public Defender for the state of Connecticut in the Norwalk and Bridgeport Superior Courts.  Subsequently, Attorney Tortora joined the law firm of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, LLP, a large nationally known civil defense firm located in Stamford, Connecticut, where he served as a senior Trial Attorney and defended clients of large Fortune 500 companies, as well as clients of large nationally known insurance companies.  Attorney Tortora then joined the firm of Ventura Ribeiro & Smith where he focused primarily on trying personal injury cases representing plaintiffs.. Attorney Tortora has extensive trial experience representing injured individuals and brings to his clients the knowledge of knowing what his opponent's strategy will be from his years of defense work.  Attorney Tortora also brings his knowledge of representing injured plaintiffs to his clients he represents as defendants. He has also successfully argued before the Connecticut Appellate Court.. Attorney Tortora is  Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.  This distinguished honor is only given to attorneys who have proven through their trial experience and accomplishments that they are worthy of the title.. Michael Tortora is the youngest of 14 children and grew up in Fairfield Connecticut   He currently has four children of his own with his wife Tiffany.
