After working at large U.S. law firms and having weathered the recent recession, Mike decided that a boutique firm was a better platform for providing the flexibility and adaptability necessary to better serve the needs of his clients in the rapidly changing marketplace. A lifelong Central Florida resident, Mike grew up in Orlando. His community involvement started early with active participation in the Boy Scouts; he reached the rank of Eagle Scout by the age of fifteen. He went on to attend Stetson University, from which he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with honors, in 1989, with a major in finance and a minor in information systems. While in college, Mike continued his community involvement through participation in student government, InterVarsity, and the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.. Mike started his career in commercial banking and then went on to graduate school at the University of Florida, from which he received his law degree and his master of business administration, both with honors, in 1994. Mike has lived in Manchester, England and Berlin, Germany and is conversant in German. Mike resides in Central Florida with his wife and children and continues to be involved in the community and in his church. He is a graduate of Leadership Orlando and was the first lawyer in Central Florida to attain the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). When not being a lawyer, husband, or dad, he likes to exercise (CrossFit), travel, read, and eat chocolate.
