William R. Ponall is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Criminal Appellate Law. Mr. Ponall is one of fewer than 30 private attorneys in the State of Florida who holds that designation. He has over 13 years of experience handling State and Federal criminal appeals, post conviction matters, and complex criminal cases throughout the State of Florida. Prior to entering private practice, he was a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.. Mr. Ponall has had articles, addressing both substantive criminal law and criminal appeals, published in The Florida Defender, a magazine published by the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and The Briefs, a magazine published by the Orange County Bar Association. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida and the University Of Florida College of Law.. Mr. Ponall is a Past President of the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Co-Chair of the Committee on Proposed Criminal Jury Instructions and Rules for the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a member of the Orange Country Bar Appellate Practice Committee.
