I have been an attorney since 2000. I love my career because I enjoy helping people with their legal problems and navigating through the legal system.  I was a paralegal prior to attending law school at a labor and employment firm, and I knew I wanted to do more to help people problem solve; I wanted to be the voice when they were unable to speak up for themselves.  I relocated to Florida to attend the University of Central Florida where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature before I received my Juris Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University.  I started my attorney career as a prosecutor in Orange County Florida.  I prosecuted cases in Criminal Traffic, Misdemeanor, Juvenile and Felony before I went into private practice.   I enjoy problem solving for my clients, and ensuring that their due process rights are not being violated.  I practice in Family Law, Collaborative Law, Adoption (domestic) Bankruptcy, Criminal Defense, Dependency and Wills.  Our team at Schwam-Wilcox & Associates strives to do our very best at all times, and to be sure to serve the needs of our clients.  Our client's feel as if they are our only client, and they are always important to us.  We pride ourselves on communication and attention to detail.  We appreciate every opportunity to assist people with their legal needs.  Our team is also very active in the legal and non-legal community.  Schwam-Wilcox & Associates holds 2 food drives each year to help fill a local food pantry to ensure the members of our community have something to eat for themselves and their children.  Our team volunteers to perform legal work for the people who qualify and for children who need a voice..
