Understanding first-hand the transformational power of education on immigrant families, in 2013, Ruben founded the Alcanzando Un Sueño Scholarship Program which awards eight deserving high school seniors $3,000 towards their first year of college. To date, the program has helped over 50 first-generation students attend college with more than $100,000 in awards.. Ruben completed his undergraduate education at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he attended on an athletic scholarship. He then went on to simultaneously earn an MBA and Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University where graduated in 1989.. Ruben lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children where he enjoys playing tennis in his spare time.
