I am a third generation lawyer from Augusta, Georgia. I graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1989. Upon graduation, I worked for my father, Kenneth R. Chance, who was a sole practitioner in Augusta. I then began pursuit of my M.B.A. and J.D. at Georgia State University in Atlanta. I served as Co-Editor of Legislation for the Georgia State University Law Review. I graduated from Georgia State in 1995 with a M.B.A. and a J.D., magna cum laude. I began working for a medium-sized defense firm as a summer associate in May of 1994 and continued with that firm until July 1999. I concentrated on the defense of doctors and hospitals in professional negligence cases and other health care matters.. In August of 1999, I joined Watkins, Lourie & Roll, LLP, where I handle plaintiff's medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and motor vehicle accident cases. I am a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Association for Justice, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. I am a member of the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice and a member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. I have also served as a member of the Advisory Committee on Legislation of the State Bar of Georgia.. I have personally experienced the loss of a parent and the loss of a child. My law practice has become focused on cases involving the elderly and children - the most vulnerable members of our society.  I an actively involved in philanthropic efforts to cure childhood cancer, and I advocate for the elderly during the Georgia General Assembly.
