Sam began his career at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained valuable trial and investigative experience. He has been practicing corporate and commercial law in Chicago since 2002 representing businesses and individuals in a wide range of areas including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, theft of trade secrets, general employment matters, restrictive employment covenants (including non-competition and non-solicitation matters), commercial fraud, and unfair competition. He also represents clients in real estate, trust, and probate litigation and handles civil appeals.. Sam also assists business owners with forming their businesses and with issues that arise during the operation of the business including negotiating contracts, addressing employee issues, and dealing with disputes between owners.. Sam is the current chair and co-newsletter editor for the Illinois State Bar Association Business and Securities Law Section Council.. Sam is an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Law Division Commercial Calendar mandatory arbitration program, through which he arbitrates commercial disputes.
