Gordon D. Friesz is a trial lawyer with a diverse and varied practice, handling civil and family cases in addition to advising and representing several local governmental entities and businesses. Gordon has handled and tried a wide range and variety of cases, including personal injury matters, asbestos litigation, divorce and custody matters, criminal cases and numerous civil cases. In addition to his representation of individuals, governmental entities, and businesses, Gordon is often requested by colleagues to serve as a mediator for family and civil law matters. Born and raised in Nederland, Texas, Gordon has many ties to the local community, graduating from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas in 1997. Gordon was a public school teacher in Nederland, Beaumont, and Vidor before attending and graduating from South Texas College of Law in 2003.. Gordon is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Jefferson County Bar Association. He has previously served as a director/board member for the Jefferson County Bar Association and was the Section Chairman of the Family Law Section and is a member of the State Bar of Texas School Law and Family Law Sections. Additionally, he has served as a board member for Jefferson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the United Way of Mid-County.
