Before studying law, Chris attended Kansas State University where he earned both a Master of Arts in Spanish Language Acquisition and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Before joining the Overland Park, Kansas divorce and family law attorneys at Stange Law Firm, Chris most recently worked as an attorney for a child support government contractor. In this role, he worked to establish paternity and child support for the Kansas Department for Children and Families in Sedgwick County, Kansas, which included drafting of pleadings and other legal documents for a large caseload, representing DCF in court proceedings, and interacting with internal and external clients. He also worked to modify child support obligations for his clients. Before this, Chris worked in various legal roles over the past 20 years including as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Kansas Office of Administrative Hearings, a Deputy Director of Child Support Services for the Department for Children and Families in Kansas, and a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York City. Chris is a dedicated family lawyer who takes pride in his legal work.
