A native of Mississippi, Mr. Adams received his Bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans, and he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas in 1983. He is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.. Mr. Adams provides independent legal counsel for children, which demands the same undivided loyalty, confidentiality, and competent representation required for adult clients. As a "best interests" attorney, Mr. Adams provides independent legal services for protecting children's best interests.. A divorce dissolves a valid marriage for causes that ordinarily arise after the wedding ceremony. Louisiana permits fault-based divorce, as well as the popular no-fault divorce option for parties that have lived separate and apart for at least six months.
