Ms. Thompson advises and represents governmental entities, corporate clients as well as non-profits and individuals throughout the State of Alabama.  She utilizes her years of experience to provide creative solutions to complex issues in the areas of corporate law, employment law, governmental and public sector law and environmental law. She is experenced in all aspects of corporate representation including drafting and negotiating contracts and transactions, acquisitions, sales and transfers as well as day-to-day advice on corporate governance. Her extensive municipal and public sector experience has given her a unique and sophisticated expertise in all state and federal statutes that impact Alabama pubic bodies and agencies on a day-to-day basis. She also has extensive experience in employment and labor law and provides proactive and preventative training and guidance on FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, ADEA, Titile VII and other employment matters.  She has reviewed and drafted employee handbooks and manuals in these areas and has successfuly defended claims before the EEOC as well as state and federal courts.  She was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama.
