While pursuing her legal education, Ms. Benton was an active member of Moot Court and competed on the school’s National team. As a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association’s (TTLA) Board of Directors, Ms. Benton works to protect the rights of plaintiffs in our civil justice system. Furthermore, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Trial Lawyers Association (HTLA) and was a past Chair of HTLA’s Women’s Caucus. In 2016, she received HTLA’s Rising Star award. Ms. Benton is a council member of the State Bar of Texas Women and the Law section..
