Rod has been a practising business lawyer for 4 decades, and has represented dozens of clients in the purchase and sale of a business.  Related to his business practice, he also helps clients with solutions to a variety of real estate matters, and does collections work (and other dispute resolution)  relating to both business and real estate subject matters.. After graduating from University of Chicago Law School, he worked at the largest law firm in Michigan, representing public and private business clients on a range of matters, with a particular focus on corporate organization and finance and the purchase and sale of businesses. His work with that law firm led to positions as General Counsel to a couple of publicly-traded companies that needed his expertise and skills in business organizations, the purchase of businesses, and corporate finance..
