Attorney Joel A. Cannon, Jr. received his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Texas and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxvile, Tennesse in 1998.  He associated with the Law office of Piper, Waters and Witt and began to hone his legal skills as a litigator. Mr. Cannon joined James Foglesong and founded The Law Offices of Foglesong and Cannon in 1991.  He served as the  president and founder of Citizens for Better Law Enforcement, Inc. (C.B.L.E.) Mr. Cannon does public speaking engagements from time to time most recently to high school students on the value of preparing for higher education after high school in America.  He is married to Susan Cannon and has two sons, Joel, III (Jay) and William Ross (Ross).  He is a member of West Hills Presbyterian Church.. A word about fees:  The fee you pay and the way you pay it, depends on the type of case you have.  Fees among attorneys vary depending on their office location, the number of years in practice and the skill of the attorney.  Typically, you get what you pay for.. For Social Security Disability Claims, we do not charge a fee for the initial consultation.  In claims for benefits, fees for a Social Security Disability claim are typically 25% of the past-due benefits, with a cap of $ 6,.  In most cases for benefits, we do not charge a fee unless we win your case.   We will not charge a fee unless you know what the fee is going to be and agree in writing beforehand..
