Weems is the first born, and his mother was a single parent, raising him and his younger siblings in the infamous Atlanta housing project, Carver Homes. Weems was a student at T.H. Slater Elementary School, as well as King Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia. At age 15, Weems' family moved to the Allen Temple Apartments in Atlanta, Georgia, where he first became involved in the entertainment business by co-managing a dance group dubbed, Too Crucial.. Weems is an Atlanta native, having graduated from G. W. Carver High School located in Southeast Atlanta. Antavius Weems earned his B.A. from Clark Atlanta University in 1995 and also earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from the Whitney M.
