Arzt, Attorney Loper was an associate attorney with a general practice law firm in Hanover, Pennsylvania where she gained experience not only in family law matters but also in estate planning, estate administration, probate, employment law, business law, and criminal defense. While there she was assistant general counsel for a successful Hanover business.. Before entering private practice, Amy spent over five years with the York County District Attorney’s Office where she was the Senior Deputy Prosecutor for the Special Case Unit, which focused on child abuse and sexual assault cases. During Amy’s time at the York County District Attorney’s Office, Amy gained courtroom knowledge and experience, tried misdemeanor and felony cases in front of juries and judges, argued motions before judges, drafted appeal briefs, and qualified minors as credible witnesses.. Amy attended Susquehanna University where she graduated cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. In 2007 she received a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Attorney Loper then moved to York County where she has resided ever since and has become familiar with both the York and Adams county legal communities.. Amy is admitted to practice law before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the York County Bar Association.. Attorney Loper remains committed to helping children who have been victims of abuse and has been an active board member of the York County Children’s Advocacy center since 2014, where she currently serves as the board President.
