As a family law attorney, much of my work is with people going through a divorce, or otherwise seeking help with ending a relationship.  I try to assist my divorce clients with an eye towards sustainability and long-term wellbeing.  In other words: I want to help you figure out not only how to bring one chapter of your life to a close, but how to begin the next one.. In addition to my divorce practice, I am interested in working with individuals and families in the early stages of relationships.  There is a lot of space for creative and intentional work in constructing and defining family structures going in.  Everyone’s family is different, and I am a big believer in broad and inclusive interpretations of what family means.  Many of us identify strongly with the notion of investing in a family of choice, and I want to support that in any way I can.. Regardless of why you come to see me, I will listen without judgment to where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and how you’d like things to go.   I will be honest with you about what I think is possible, what I think is likely, and what I think is wise.  I will strive to understand your needs.  Most importantly, I will do my utmost to work with you and think creatively about how we can move you from wherever you are now to wherever you want to be.
