He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland, California and Washington. His work has included trials, appeals and arbitrations, and a wide range of business transactions. Before relocating to Washington, DC, from 1984 to 1993 Mr. Allison was engaged in a national law practice in Los Angeles, California, with several major firms, working in the areas of commercial, antitrust and securities litigation in the petroleum, financial services, airline, and entertainment industries (and others), including substantial roles in several multi-billion dollar lawsuits.
