Sean was born in Spanish Harlem, son of Irish immigrants, in 1968. He grew up in Queens County in a strict Catholic Irish household. His father was a union carpenter while his mother was an assistant teacher. Along with his younger brother and younger twin sisters, his family grew up believing education, family, faith, and service to others were the keys to a good life.. Sean graduated St. Francis Prep High School in Queens in 1986, and then went on to graduate Fordham University in the Bronx in 1990.. After college, Sean held many different jobs while debating whether or not to attend law school, He was a union carpenter in Manhattan. He swung a hammer framining houses in Long Island. He worked security at St. Patrick's Cathedral. But Sean knew he wanted more out of life.. in 1992, Sean began serving the residents of Queens County as an Emergency Medical Technician based out of Jamaica Hospital in Richmond Hill, Queens. Sean earned many citations for bravery and life saving calls. Although the job was incredibly rewarding, while working in EMS, Sean decided to attend law school.. Sean completed his first year of law school at Brooklyn Law School in 1996. He then transfered to St. John's Law School, and graduated in 1998. All during law school, Sean continued to work on the ambulance in Queens, nights and weekends.. Upon graduating law school, Sean began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney, for the Queens County District Attorney's Office. This job, again serving the residents of Queens County, was the pinnicle of his legal learning experience. While he was an Assistant DA, Sean worked in Criminal Court handling misdemeanors, the Grand Jury handling felonies, Narcotics Investigations, and Supreme Court handling felony jury trials.. After four years as an Assistant DA for Queens County, Sean decided to begin his own law practice. Starting out with no clients, and no resources, he borrowed a small amount of money from his dad, bought a computer, rented a small office, and printed some business cards. Overnight, Sean literally went from prosecuting people and putting them in jail, to defending people and getting them out of jail.. Over the past fifteen years, Sean has gone on to build a large and growing criminal defense litigation practice. Sean defends hundreds of people every year, accussed of minor misdemeanor offenses up to serious felony cases. He handles many domestic violence cases and even more drunk driving cases. He does everything he can to resolve cases without the need to go to trial, but at the same time, he will not hesitate to pick a jury and follow through to trial.. Sean lives in Long Island with his wife of twenty years, and three teenage children. He literally works seven days a week in court or in his office, and he is available 24/7 for your call. Any spare time he may have, he enjoys his motorcycle.. Oh, and by the way, Sean STILL works the streets of Queens as a per diem Emergency Medical Technician for Jamaica Hospital whenever he gets a chance.
