As Trustee, he is responsible for adopting Ordinances and Resolutions, appropriating funds to conduct Town business, and providing policy direction for Town governance, and represents 13,000 constituents in legislative, quasi-judicial, and administrative proceedings.. Mr. Lacis was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to the Judicial Performance Commission for the 20th Judicial District, where he is responsible for reviewing the performance of judges and making recommendations for judges standing for retention. Mr. Lacis is a Member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Ethics Committee and a Board Member of the Colorado Lawyers Trust Account Foundation (COLTAF), where he oversees the administration of trust fund account distributions to Colorado Legal Services.. Mr. Lacis received his J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law, Interscholastic Moot Court Board, and Civil Litigation Clinic. He graduated from Rutgers College, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a B.A. in Political Science, where he was a Henry Rutgers Scholar and a member of the Eagleton Institute of Politics.. Mr. Lacis has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell and has been recognized as a Rising Star in Super Lawyers magazine (2013 - 2017)..
