Before attending law school, Carolyn worked as a paralegal at a family law firm, where she gained valuable insights into client communication and the emotional challenges families face. Carolyn graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, earning the Edward T. Lee full-tuition scholarship. While in law school, she clerked for the Honorable Rosa M. Silva in the Domestic Relations Division, where she observed hearings, drafted orders, and assisted self-represented litigants.. Her commitment to helping families continued through her service on the Young Professionals Board at Between Friends, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing domestic violence, and as a legal extern at the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center, where she supported efforts to provide free legal services to crime victims. Prior to her legal career, Carolyn taught middle school Spanish and holds a Master’s in Education from Loyola University Chicago, focusing on child psychology and development. Today, her family law practice is client-centered, prioritizing settlement while also skillfully representing clients in court.
