Averil also served as an intern to the Honorable Judge Kenneth L. Ryskamp of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida in West Palm Beach. Prior to law school, Averil lived in Malaga, Spain where she taught English to children and adults. Averil also worked as a criminal and immigration law legal assistant in Washington, D.C.
