He has been recognized by Birmingham Magazine in its Top Attorneys list in the areas of Probate Law (2017-2020) and Tax Law (2017), and was selected to the Mid-South’s Rising Stars by Super Lawyers for Estate & Trust Litigation (2018-2021). Additionally, he has been selected as one of the 18 Best Birmingham Litigation Attorneys (2017-2021) and as one of the 16 Best Birmingham Probate Attorneys (2020-2021) by the website . Chris currently serves as the Chair-Elect of the Probate Section of the Birmingham Bar Association, and is on the board of the Birmingham School of Law Foundation.. Chris received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Commerce & Business Administration, with a concentration in Small Company Management, from the University of Alabama in 2005. After earning his undergraduate degree, he worked as General Manager of Sports Transportation for over seven years, and successfully negotiated the sale of the company to an industry peer in 2011. Chris received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Birmingham School of Law, graduating with honors in 2010. After completing his law degree, he attended the University of Alabama School of Law and received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation, graduating cum laude in 2013, with a concentration in Business Tax.. He is admitted to practice in Alabama state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, and the U.S. Tax Court.. Chris lives in Birmingham with his wife, Beth, and three daughters, Abbey, Olivia and Charlotte. He is a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church in Mountain Brook, where has served as co-leader on the board of the Child Development Center.
