Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Attorney Ruggiero has always had a passion for helping others with her positive outlook and diligent work ethic. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Upon her acceptance of the prestigious Dean’s Merit Scholarship, Attorney Ruggiero returned to her hometown and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, School of Law.. While at the University of Miami, Attorney Ruggiero had the distinguished honor of clerking for the Honorable Judge Maxine Cohen Lando, United States Judge, for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court. She was a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of the Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida and participated in the University of Miami’s Capital Defense Project through which she represented individuals convicted of capital offenses. As a student in the Litigation Skills Clinical Program, she was awarded the Honorable Theodore Klein Endowed Scholarship for ability and excellence in oral and written advocacy and a commitment to public service. Prior to joining the DeWitt Law Firm, P.A. Attorney Ruggiero began her legal career at a full service firm in Maitland and concentrated her practice in the area of mortgage foreclosure defense, criminal defense, family and domestic law, and general civil litigation.. Attorney Ruggiero is a member of the University of Central Florida and University of Miami, School of Law Alumni Chapters as well as the Orange County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband, family and adorable puppy.
