After graduating from The Citadel in 2007, Taylor commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and attended law school at Mercer University under the Marine Corps’ PLC-Law program.. Upon graduating and gaining admission to the South Carolina Bar in 2010, Taylor served four years as an active-duty Judge Advocate. In 2014, Taylor left active duty for the opportunity to serve as a Civil Affairs Team Leader in the Marine Corps Reserve and return home to Aiken, where he joined his father’s practice (Braithwaite Timmerman, LLC).. Taylor’s private practice began with a firm foundation in insurance defense, representing insurance carriers throughout South Carolina and the Augusta, Georgia Metro Area. However, Taylor quickly discovered a preference for seeking justice on behalf of injured claimants in personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice actions and ultimately decided to establish a firm to focus on these cases in 2021.. At the same time, Taylor accepted a unique opportunity to transition to the South Carolina Army National Guard and become an AH-64E Attack Helicopter Pilot – a role Taylor continues to fill as a reserve Guardsman today.
