Robert L. Pitkofsky is a seasoned attorney who has practiced for over seventeen years in New York and New Jersey. Robert serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation, an organization committing to providing necessary funds to support a regional leader in providing sub-acute and acute rehabilitation services to patients of all ages.  Before moving to Rockland County, Robert was a leader on a variety of community efforts, including as a governor-appointed representative on the New Jersey-Israel Commission which is focused on enhancing the cultural and economic relationship between New Jersey and Israel. Robert also served as the legal counsel/chairperson for Bonim: Builders for Bergen, an organization dedicated to rehabilitating lower income housing and community facilities.. Robert graduated from SUNY Binghamton where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, with honors. He earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion. He also earned a prestigious Raimondo Fellowship through the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University. After law school, Robert served as appellate law clerk to the Honorable Sylvia B. Pressler, the Presiding Judge for Administration for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Robert is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.  He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York..
