He was admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Idaho in 1994. Earning his J.D. degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with distinction in 1985, he earlier completed a B.S. degree in Business Management (Finance) with minors in Accounting and Economics from Brigham Young University in 1981. He especially enjoys accompanying Julie, who is an RN, on medical missions to the remote regions of Guatemala and Honduras, where he has had the opportunity of assisting an eye surgical team by taking medical histories and eye exams, providing Spanish translation and other support services. He has found these medical missions to be his favorite annual “vacation.”. Mr. Crandall is also an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, water sports, hunting, fishing, backpacking, golf, cycling and swimming.
