While at UT, Morgan volunteered with the SAFE Alliance, which exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. Her desire to make a difference in her hometown led her to SMU Dedman School of Law, where she developed her skills and knowledge.. During her time in law school, Morgan gained valuable experience working with the Sexual Assault and Crimes Against Children divisions of the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and interning at a local women's shelter. Additionally, Morgan practiced family law under the supervision of attorneys during her time with the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crimes Against Women. Her time serving her community received special recognition, as Morgan landed on the Pro Bono Honor Roll at graduation, which recognizes students that gave over 50 hours of pro bono legal work.. Morgan’s approach to family law is centered around helping families find practical, peaceful solutions outside of the courtroom. She believes in the power of negotiation, mediation, and collaborative methods to create lasting agreements that work for everyone involved.
