He has been Board Certified as a specialist in personal injury trial law since 1994.He has been included as a Lifetime member of the Multi-Million and Million Dollar Advocates Forum, with membership limited to top trial lawyers throughout the US who have achieved a verdict award or settlement in the amount of $2 million or more.. In 2011 Douglas was selected to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He is a past director of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and in 2013 was elected to the Texas Bar Foundation. Douglas is a Certified Mediator conducting in excess of 4000 mediations and arbitrations. On a personal level, Doug and his wife D'Lynn have been married since 1981 and have two children, Matthew and Kelli.
